OceanFirst Foundation Awards Grant to Providence House to Enhance Safety
As a trauma-informed agency, Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities prioritizes the safety and comfort of both staff and clients. After receiving feedback about the lighting in its parking lot, Providence House reached out to OceanFirst Foundation for help with improvements. As a result, OceanFirst Foundation awarded Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities a $10K grant to cover the costs of lighting upgrades in the program’s parking lot, enhancing safety. The lighting, which had not been upgraded since the building was purchased in 2006, will be augmented with additional fixtures, reducing trip hazards and improving safety and comfort for clients and staff. “The steadfast support of Ocean First Foundation has enabled Providence House to provide healing and recovery to thousands of families in our nearly 30 years of service to the community” said Mary Pettrow, Associate Service Area Director.
