Being exposed to gun violence — as someone who was shot, witnessed a shooting or knows someone who was shot – can effect an individual’s long-term mental health.
Catholic Charities’ Gun Violence Intervention Program provides counseling and support to adolescence and young adults who have been exposed to directly impacted by gun violence.
The program provides:
- Group counseling and therapy sessions
- Individual counseling and therapy sessions
- Case management and advocacy services tailored to a recipient’s specific needs
- Trainings and workshops about the benefits of counseling
Our Support Groups are FREE, eight-week interventions that address stress and anxiety, foster healing and help participants regain a sense of control.
