Catholic Charities’ Director Offers Training to DCF Staff at Statewide Conference
Jane Meyer, Director of Catholic Charities’ Monmouth Counseling/Family Growth Program is a featured presenter on May 15th at the Adolescent Networking Conference coordinated by the Rutgers School of Social Work and intended as training for staff of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and all child welfare professionals. She will be joined by colleagues facilitating her program’s Problematic Sexual Behavior group. Their workshop, “Treatment for School-Age Children with Problematic Sexual Behavior and their Families,” will provide training regarding this newer, evidence-based therapeutic intervention.
The Adolescent Networking Conference: “Voices United for Youth: Visions of a Better Tomorrow” will be held at the New Jersey DCF Professional Center in New Brunswick and coordinated by the Rutgers School of Social Work.
The Monmouth Counseling/Family Growth Program of Catholic Charities offers mental health counseling for children and adolescents with emotional or behavioral challenges and specialized treatment for survivors of childhood trauma and sexual abuse.
