Essential Services: A lifeline for many
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, delivers essential services to over 120,000 New Jersey residents annually. Our comprehensive services include addressing basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, as well as offering specialized treatments for addiction and mental health concerns. Moreover, our domestic violence programs contribute to the goal of ending violence. Our organization serves Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, ensuring that vital assistance is accessible and convenient for those who need it most.
Our programs are designed to help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and end the cycle of dependence. We strive to improve lives and to strengthen communities.
Our proud history of helping others
Since 1913, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, has been dedicated to assisting individuals and families in need. Throughout significant historical events such as the Great Depression, both World Wars, numerous recessions, and countless natural disasters, we have been a reliable source of help for those impacted, while also motivating others to lend a helping hand. For more than 110 years, Catholic Charities has been the trusted resource for both short-term emergency and crisis assistance, as well as long-term support for complex issues like mental illness, addiction, domestic violence, and childhood trauma.
Making the most out of your support
To ensure the maximum impact of every donation, Catholic Charities upholds a high standard of financial responsibility: 87 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to our programs, while the remaining amount covers administrative costs.
Even in the face of funding challenges and an increasing demand for our services, we prioritize keeping administrative costs low and practice careful stewardship. Donors can trust that their contributions are a wise investment in our organization. Our long-standing commitment to financial responsibility has allowed us to thrive as a charity, and we are confident that we will continue to serve our community for another 112 years and beyond.
