A Bittersweet Farewell
After nearly 17 years of dedicated, conscientious and enthusiastic service, Executive Assistant Kathy O’Connor, has become a beloved “institution” at Catholic Charities, though she often jokes that she would be ready for an institution by her retirement. Well, Kathy’s retirement is commencing this Friday, February 27, and she will soon sail off on a worldwide cruise with husband Walter.
At a retirement party last week, Executive Director Marlene Laó-Collins acknowledged that “Kathy made me feel at home when I came here four years ago and she made all who had contact with my office feel welcomed and appreciated.”
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff, we bid a fond farewell to a member of the Catholic Charities family whose legacy of kindness and competence will live on, may you enjoy health and happiness in your retirement!
Also, welcome to Ana Hernandez! Ana (pictured at right with Kathy) started this week as the new Executive Assistant to Marlene Laó-Collins.
