Inspiring Moments of 2014
As we prepare to usher in a New Year, we also look back to some moments that inspired us in 2014.
A woman we helped helps us to kick off Walk of Hope. The event goes on to gross more than $30,000 to help Catholic Charities continue its mission of reducing poverty, promoting recovery and strengthening families.
Our Early Intervention Support Services (EISS) program opened its doors to those in crisis. An article in the Trenton Times leads one reader to donate $20,000 to the program.
Our statewide Disaster Case Management program observes its 1st Anniversary, continuing to help those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Community Services’ Barbara Clancey pedals 200 miles to fight hunger. She raised $6,000 to directly benefit our food pantries.
NJ Governor Chris Christie holds press conference at our Partners in Recovery program to announce new addiction recovery task force. Christe also took time to meet with staff and consumers from our Project Free program.
Local journalist L.A. Parker thanks Catholic Charities for his recovery through a commentary in The Trentonian.
We end year with a new fundraising initiative — crowdfunding! The pilot campaign will benefit our New Choices program. There’s still time to donate.
