At El Centro, we understand that focusing on the well-being of families will strengthen neighborhoods and create a better future for our children.

When a family arrives at El Centro, the first thing they are greeted with is dignity and respect. Our bi-lingual staff understands the hurdles these families are facing and welcomes all visitors with open arms. Once a family’s needs are identified, the staff gets to work. The father needs ESL classes, the mother is applying for jobs and needs help with her resume and the children are struggling to assimilate to a new life and need assistance with understanding a different culture. At El Centro, we customize our services to meet specific needs and put families on a path for success. In an instant – the trajectory of their lives has changed.

A new program is being offered at El Centro called Familia Adelante. This program addresses cultural barriers and stress related to family and youth development. The evidence-based curriculum improves students’ academic performance as well as reducing the temptation of substance abuse and other high-risk behaviors. The program has had an amazing effect on struggling teens and pre-teens.
