War on Poverty Makes Advances in NJ

Testifying before the NJ Assembly Human Services Committee recently, Joyce Campbell, Associate Executive Director for External Affairs at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, was joined by scores of anti-poverty activists in sharing the best investment strategies for reducing poverty in our state.
“Together, providing basic needs services and case management can reduce the trauma associated with hunger and homelessness … poverty is expensive when successful prevention strategies [such as those employed by Catholic Charities] are overlooked,” Campbell said.
